Good ideas have “legs”. Meaning, when the concept works for an illustration I can make many other iterations. Here’s the origins of my Never Worried series.
In Oct of 2017 I drew this rat. I liked it and so did my audience. It became a t-shirt, sticker, air freshener and poster.
I drew some different iterations of the rat. Neither of these new concepts landed with my audience. They were interesting, but not iconic like the first.

Then in May 2019 I drew my favorite rat graphic ever. It was the first ever official Never Worried graphic.
The predator and prey aspects birthed loads of ideas for illustrations.
These illustrations have become skateboards and toys.

They’ve become surfboards.
It’s been quite a journey. I’ll keep wrenching on this concept until I’m dead. Sorry not sorry.
