MC Escher

In my high school algebra class, my teacher had some M.C. Escher illustrations on her wall. Escher is a Dutch designer and illustrator whose work you’ve probably seen. When class was boring, I would stare at those illustrations, thinking, "How the f*ck did he make that?"

He’s probably best known for his weird, geometric patterns called tessellations. On a few occasions, I’ve attempted to replicate his concepts in my own illustration. I like how they look, but there’s something uneasy about them. Also, they take forever to figure out.

You can spot a nod toward tessellations in a few other recent illustrations I've worked on. How many of these will end up getting manufactured? I’m not sure. Maybe they’re worth making into patches for hats. Let me know what you think!
