The internet is both great for connecting us, and incredible at isolating us. For chomp, we've tried to be a respite from doomscrolling. We want you stoked when you see our stuff. We want to include you in the story. Some creators have mentioned on how Chomp has "hacked" social media engagement– like when I ask for two emojis. But it isn't a hack.
It's improv.
It's precisely the same as a comedy troop asking for a suggestion. "Yell out an occupation". "Give us a name". The genuine excitement from a commenter when I pick their idea is awesome. My DMs light up with shocked messages right away. As best I can, I will listen to audience feedback and suggestions. You're in on the bit.
