A common question we get asked is, “Why do you change your t-shirt blanks so often?”
Our t-shirts are an art project. Depending on the design, I make a snap decision on the type of customer I expect to wear it.
We rotate through three different blank styles right now.
There’s been a recent trend of more heavyweight, garment-dye blanks. These tees fit slightly oversized, and the consumer is a little more interested in a streetwear aesthetic.

For most of our neutral and colored blanks, we use a midweight t-shirt. The blank is 100% cotton, and we get zero complaints about shrinkage. Though, most blank companies guarantee a minimum of 5-7% shrinkage after washing.

We used to run a solid 50% cotton and 50% poly blank. We’ve sold out of those styles. Those fit a little snug in the arm and made the beefy boys look jacked. The trend of tight t-shirts is coming back, so maybe we should adjust to that.
